BTS Post Military Tour: Why Getting Concert Tickets Will Be a Bloodbath

BTS Post Military Tour: Why Getting Concert Tickets Will Be a Bloodbath

The Ticketing War is Coming And I Am Already Tired

Listen, I love BTS. I have fought in the trenches for BTS tickets before, and I am gearing up to do it again, but if we're being honest: this upcoming tour is going to be an absolute bloodbath. The moment BTS announces their post-military comeback tour, ticketing will be pure, unfiltered chaos. We’re talking hunger games, survival of the fittest, only the strong will make it out alive type of chaos.

And the worst part? HYBE is still keeping dynamic pricing. Yay, just what we needed. Another reason for Ticketmaster to gouge us for every last penny we have. Honestly, at this point, I’m hoping for some sort of miraculous reform with Ticketmaster, but let’s be real, we're talking about Ticketmaster here. That ain’t happening.

The struggle to get a BTS ticket is practically part of the ARMY experience at this point. I would love a smooth, breezy ticketing process at reasonable prices. I would love to log in, click purchase, and have my front-row VIP ticket secured without my soul leaving my body. But this is reality, and I have to accept the truth. BTS are world-class acts. People are willing to drop thousands to see them. Government officials, top-tier celebrities, even literal royal family members have shown up to BTS concerts. Who am I to complain?

But I will complain anyway.

What's It Like Attending a BTS Concert? An ARMYs Experience

The Harsh Reality of BTS Ticketing

Let’s cut to the chase: getting a BTS ticket is pure luck and/or you've got deep, deep pockets.

  • Pre-sale codes? Good luck getting one. There’s a high chance that even if you register, you won’t get selected.
  • If you do get a code? The seats you actually want, barricade, VIP, anything in a decent section, will probably be gone by the time you get in.
  • Ticketmaster’s queue? A black hole of despair where thousands of people click at the same second, and Ticketmaster just randomly decides who deserves happiness. Remember that tens of thousands of people want to get front-row or barricade tickets and you have zero control of where ticketmaster places you in the queue
  • Resale? Some of y’all are already saving up, fully knowing you’ll be spending 8K-10K per ticket on resale if you want barricade.

Honestly, at this point, I need BTS to just throw a multi-day festival where they perform for an entire week straight so we at least have a chance at getting a ticket without having to sign away our kidneys. You can read up as much as you want on the best way to get barricade or the best seats, but there's literally no tricks honestly. A lot of people are already saving up for resale prices and you should too if you're serious about getting tickets.

The Brutality of Floor & VIP Tickets

Ah yes, floor tickets. The dream, the goal, the nightmare.

For D-Day, floor tickets were all VIP/soundcheck standing (except for a few venues). I knew people who got VIP, and guess what? They had to show up at 3AM, some even earlier, just to secure a decent spot. Three. In the morning. Dawn-ass o’clock.

For group, OT7 BTS, it’s going to be worse. There’s no way around it. If you’re not front row, you will be suffocated by a sea of taller people, waving lightsticks in your face while you catch glimpses of BTS through the cracks between arms. If you’re short, unless you’re barricade or in the first three rows, you are not seeing a damn thing. You will be staring at the back of people’s heads or their placards the entire time.

If you’re considering floor standing tickets, ask yourself:

  • Are you willing to camp outside for hours (or even the night before)?
  • Can you handle the physical toll of standing for 10+ hours?
  • Are you mentally prepared for war?

If the answer is no, save your soul, mind & body and go for seated tickets.

Where Are the Best Seats?

Since PTD LA, one thing has become clear—the 100s section is where it’s at.

  • The first row of the 100s has arguably the best view, clear sightline, no pushing, and still close enough for BTS to notice you.
  • Someone had front-row 100s during PTD LA Day 1, and BTS focused on them multiple times.
  • If floor is out of reach, aim for 100s section, front row if possible.

I personally believe floor seating should always be assigned (like PTD LA’s Gold & Silver VIP), but knowing Ticketmaster, we will probably never see that again. They want us to suffer.

For floor standing every thing is done super early!! You'll have to prepare for a whole day event;

  • You have VIP pickup in the crack of dawn.
  • Then you have early entry check-in hours before the show.
  • If you’re serious about getting a good spot, you’ll be lining up at 3-4AM (or earlier).

A lot of people who did floor standing for D-Day or PTD LA have already said never again. And I don’t blame them.

If you’re someone who just wants to show up, sit down, and enjoy the concert without sacrificing your soul, standing VIP is not for you.

Tips & Reality Checks for BTS Ticketing

  1. Luck or Money—Pick One. There’s no trick to securing VIP or barricade. Either you have insane luck during pre-sale, or you drop thousands on resale.
  2. Notify Your Credit Card Company. Imagine getting your dream seat, clicking purchase, and your bank declines the transaction because they think you’re being robbed. Don’t risk it.
  3. Be Ready for the Checkout Timer. I think it was 10 minutes for PTD LA. If you get through, DO NOT WASTE TIME.
  4. Start Saving Now. Resale is going to be obscene, and unless HYBE suddenly turns into a charity, we’re on our own.

Beginner’s Guide to Kpop Fandom: Tips for Getting Involved

Get Ready for War

I might sound dramatic, but it's true. Tens of thousands of ARMYs will be fighting for a limited number of VIP and front-row seats. Even the nosebleed seats aren't safe, because when you can't get the seat you want, you have to quickly jump to the next best thing, and if that means sitting behind a massive pillar, so be it. Ticketing for BTS has always been tough, but this post-military tour is going to be on another level.

If BTS drops their tour dates tomorrow, ask yourself:

  • Am I financially prepared?
  • Am I emotionally prepared?
  • Do I have the strength to enter the Weverse, Ticketmaster abyss once again?

Because let’s be real, this is going to be the most brutal ticketing experience in BTS history.
