BTS‘ Jimin Announces First Solo Album ’FACE’

What's the famous saying again? Once you Jim-IN, you can’t Jim-OUT. Well little mochi is finally ready to release his long awaited solo album titled “FACE”, and the internet is going ablaze. Not only is he a member of the most popular boy group, BTS, he is also well renowned for his artistry to deliver jaw dropping stage performances. I mean you can watch his MOTS7 concert stage for Filter and thank me later. 

Bighit, who confirmed that the album will release on March 24th, made the announcement earlier today accompanied by a 35 seconds clip featuring ambient music and water droplets in a dark wavy/silk-like background. BigHits ’post on their official  instagram story also made mention of a “Circle of Resonance” and described it as a “reflection of vulnerable minds and unexposed wounds”. Reading the rest of the provided meaning for this “Resonance”, it was further described as “waves originated from the deepest invisible inner world, passing through the face on the surface. Wave spreads beautifully, finding its own flow despite wounds and distortions from a smallest scratch. The face of unwavering effort despite repeated falls and pain”. 

 What I’d say is that this album teaser gives a very reminiscent feel of Jimin's latest work with his Tailor of Chaos' Photofolio which he described as revealing himself.

There’s so much to take from here, but for now until I do a deep dive into what it means i’ll go with Jimins’ own words of FACE being about him facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next step. 

>> What do you mean, "more explicit"?
Jimin: I just think I can show something a little more raw about me. That might include a more mature side, too, but what I'm really interested in is showing something closer to my real, personal rawness directly in a format like music or music videos. By doing so, I think maybe I can show something I never have before.
>> What do you mean by "raw," exactly?
Jimin: Like, something that shows the things I usually think about a little more honestly? My thoughts are already well-represented on BTS' albums, but, you know, some of the older members have already dealt with some darker material on their solo mixtapes. I think l'm trying to do something similar.

And as always, Jimin being the angel that he is, confirms that he’ll see fans (armys) through the various activities included for ‘FACEs’ release. I’m super pumped and I can’t wait to listen to the full album!!!

In the meantime while you wait, you can listen to Jimin's previously released songs, VIBE (a collab with BigBang member Taeyang), Lie, Promise, Serendipity as well as the song “With You” from the soundtrack to the TvN drama “Our Blue”.
