How I Designed and Produced My BTS Inspired Shoe Collection
If you've been following me for a while, you probably remember when I teased a new product idea last year, a Kpop themed shoe charm collection. I was so excited, brainstorming designs, posting sneak peeks on my Instagram (@tsuvi_jewel) and TikTok (@tsuvimagicshop), and honestly? The interest was crazy. So many of you were hyped in the comments and DMs.
But then, life happened. With that, the creative side of my business had to take a little pause. I still restocked products like my watch charms (which stayed bestsellers, by the way) and photocards, replied to customer messages, and connected with the sweetest people on Instagram. But launching something new? That had to wait.
Now, it’s different. I’m finally back in my creative bag. And what better time to drop something fresh than when BTS is literally about to return from military service this June? As a longtime ARMY, I needed to celebrate that moment somehow and this time, we’re going for a shoe collection.
Bringing the Vision to Life
The idea hit me again after rewatching an old BTS concert. I was half emotional, half creatively recharged. I wanted something simple, something fans could actually wear daily not just flashy merch. That’s when I said, okay, let’s run it back, but do it with a shoe collection (shoelaces). It’s subtle, it’s fashion-forward, and it screams BTS without screaming it too loud.
I started sketching right away. I kept the color true to ARMY borahae purple, obviously. I’m currently working with my manufacturers and finalizing materials so it feels premium, durable, and worthy of your concert fits or everyday drip.
Pinterest and Instagram were huge in helping me shape the vision. I scrolled through concert outfits, sneaker inspo, and Kpop fashion moodboards. I even went back through my old sketches and brainstorm notes from when I first dreamed this up turns out, past me was onto something.
Why It Means So Much
This shoelace drop, which is the first part of the shoe collection, isn't just another product it’s my little way of reconnecting with both my creative side and my love for BTS. After a quiet year online, it feels good to build something again. And with BTS’s comeback so close, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
I think ARMYs will love how simple but meaningful the laces are. It’s a way to carry that connection in everyday life.
