Here are some of my favorites:
1. The Fan Chant Fumble
"At my first K-pop concert, I tried to join in on the fan chants but ended up shouting the wrong names. The fans around me gave me the funniest looks, and I just wanted to disappear into the crowd."
Comment: Fan chants are an art form, and we’ve all had our offbeat moments—no shame in that! I recommend spending some time on YouTube practicing the fan chants before the concert. For more tips and tricks on concert prep, check out my blog here.
2. The Bias Blunder
"I once posted a long rant about how my bias, Jimin from BTS, wasn’t getting enough lines in a song. Turns out, I had confused him with another member. I had to delete my post in embarrassment."
Comment: This one hits close to home. Knowing all the members takes time, and they all have their iconic moments. 💜

"Back in 2016 when i first discovered bts, i saw that the bighit channel had uploaded videos of a guy named “agust d” and i thought it must be a new soloist under bighit 😬"
Comment: Haha. So cute. It’s so easy to get mixed up, especially with all the content they put out. Realizing that Agust D is actually Suga's alter ego is such a classic K-pop newbie moment.
5. Digital User
" I buy the DVDs but don't have a DVD player so I still watch all the DVD rips online."
Comment: who doesn't love the best of both worlds—supporting our faves while still enjoying the convenience of online viewing.
6. Twitter Post - #ArmyConfessionTime
When I was new to the fandom I thought Jungkook had the nickname "Maknae". I didn't know that the word was used for the youngest members😭😅 #ArmyConfessionTime pic.twitter.com/iVnioaLJyI

8. Confused Fan
" When I first got into EXO,my ult group, the first MV I watched was love shot and I wanted to know their names, so I scrolled down the comments. There was a comment about chen with a time stamp but I accidentally skipped to D.O’s part and for somedays I thought D.O was Chen lmao. And when I found out that Chen’s name was Chen, it was hard for me to digest lol."
Comment: The struggle of matching names to faces in a new group is real, especially with so many members
9. Yoongi's lil sister
" yuhh back when i was 11 i think i went online saying i was yoongi’s sister 💀"
Comment: The things we do as fans when we're just getting into K-pop.
10. Cringe Fanfic User
" i used to read those cringy cliché fanfics with terrible grammar until like 12:00 am on a school night . . . i am not kidding i fear. yknow those “kim y/n 🤓” ones where all the members bully her and then they all suddenly develop a crush on her? yeah . . . it was pretty bad!"
Comment: Oh wow, those late-night fanfic reading sessions are such a rite of passage!
Anyways...
